Cheapest laptop

Compaq was one of the largest producers of personal computers in the world. The company was founded many years ago in 1982, by Rod Canion, Jim Harris and Bill Murto. It was among the leaders on the market for many years, selling computers and other devices all over the world.

For 20 years it existed as an independent corporation, but in 2002 it was bought by Hewlett Packard for 25 billion dollars. So now it is a subsidiary of Hewlett Packard.

You can enter the official site of the company (Compaq.com), but when you want to buy something or to find out more information about a specific product, you will be redirected to the site of HP. For today we are going to discuss more about one of the cheapest laptops made by Compaq, and we are going to choose the CQ 61 Z series. There are many different models found in this series, depending on the technical details they have. You can choose a standard configuration, but you can also configure your own laptop, with the exact features you need. You can customize both the internal components and also the design and external accessories, printers and also software. But usually the laptops from this series are not really powerful, and they are offering just the basic features for the simple computer activities, at an acceptable price.

They come with a 15.6 inch widescreen display, that can be just great for movies, games or other activities. The overall dimensions of the laptops from this series are good, and they are not so big, but not very small either. Among the features that you can add to your laptop, there is a Blu Ray disc drive (to enjoy movies at good quality) or a HDMI port (to connect the laptop to a High Definition TV and enjoy the movies at their best quality). You can also choose to add a microphone, a webcam, a card reader and many other things.

But if you don’t want something really complex, and you are looking just for the basic and the cheapest laptop, then you can have it for just 429 dollars.

And it will look like this, and have these features:
-Operating system – Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (this may depend on the store where you buy the laptop from)
-Processor AMD Sempron (TM) Processor for Notebook PCs M 120 (2.1 GHz, 512 KB L 2 Cache)
-Memory – 2 GB DDR 2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
-Hard drive – 160 GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive

NEVER TRUST COMPAQ LAPTOPS! I own a firm which has been on the market for 12 years now and in the beginning I bought 5 Compaq laptops because my office was small and I had no room for regular computers. Every single one of those laptops broke down in maximum 1 years’ period. Some of them had bad solders and because of that, they would not charge properly. Other had overheating problems and would shut down with no warning meaning that everything my staff was working on would get lost. They are terrible devices and I don’t recommend them to anyone.
