History Of Cell Phones
People`s wish to communicate has existed from very early times. From the circles of smoke used by the Indians up to the drums sounds from the African jungle and the letters sent by pigeons, all these means of communication tried to do nothing but improve. Let`s take a look at what we have today and there might come a day when all these are going to be so very old fashioned. But coming back to the roots of the tiny phone we can’t help not use it, we can even draw a map of its evolution, of the history of cell phones.
The first so-called cell phones were not real phones. They were used in cabs by taxi drivers, police, ambulances. Still, the inconvenient was that they could not dial phones numbers from their cars. Motorola, the company which sheltered the inventor came up with a backpacked two-way radio, known as the Walkie-Talkie. Continuing drawing the map, in 1910, a creative person like Lars Ericsson fixed a telephone to match with his car and every time he was traveling, he tried to stop next to some telephone networks and by the use of some wires to make use of the device.
Once war and its atrocities appeared, people tried to do everything to hear about one another. Of course, as in many other cases, the first way of using it was in favour of the devil as Hitler heard about those radio telephones and introduced them in the use of the army, navy and even in planes. But it is said that the end justifies the means..maybe this time, it justifies the need. The soviet soldiers considered such an invention more than useful and in 1946 some soviet engineers tested the first radio cell phone.

From now on, the steps on the map have to be very small. Almost every year something new was added to the device. This way 1947 was the year when the hexagonal cells were invented for those cell phones in cars. Later on, 1957 boasted itself with the invention of the first portable mobile phones and the history of the cell phone extends itself long enough. The new cell phone was “baptized” after its inventor, Kupriyanovich, but in a shorter way: LK. This new invention was equipped with an antenna and it was meant to be used by strong people since it weighted about three kilos. It is true that it could be used at a distance of about 30 kilometers but its descendants left it in the dark.

Three years later, Sweden became famous because of the invention of the partially automatic car phone. But when did it actually leave the car? Well, that was Martin Cooper`s job and this is another story.
