HP laptop review

HP is the largest technology information company in the world, the best producer of personal computers, and also among the top producers of notebooks. It offers both regular laptops and Tablet PC-s, and these are sorted in different families, each one with its own models. First there are the Compaq laptops (Compaq CQ 10, CQ 61, CQ 71), then there are the HP Envy notebooks, the HP G 61 and 62, the HP Mini (110 and 210), the HP Pavilion (dm 3, dv 3, dv 6 and dv 7) and finally the HP Touchsmart tm2.

And for today we’ll make a HP laptop review, and we’ll discuss more about the HP G60-519 wm model. This one was built by Hewlett Packard especially for the store called Walmart. In 2009 this specific model had a price of just 300 dollars (at this specific store). But if it is cheap, it doesn’t mean that it is weak, and the features it has are quite good. Its display screen is a 15.6 inch WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView display which offers good video details. The processor from this HP model is an Intel Celeron 900 with a speed of 2.2 Ghz, 1 MB of cache and 800 mhz FSB.

Even though it is not the best one on the market, when combined with the good RAM memory of 3 GB DDR 2, it will support most of the simple computer activities (and some complex ones too). The hard drive offers plenty of space for most of the users, and has 250 GB and 5400 rpm. For such a small price you can usually buy a netbook, which doesn’t have an optical drive, but this model has one too. It is a LightScribe SuperMulti 8x DVD +-R/RW Drive w/ Double Layer Support, so it is quite a good one. The video card for this model is the classic one, the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 M with up to 1309 MB total available memory. The producer even offers you the latest version of the of the Microsoft operating system, the Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. It also has both wireless and Ethernet connectivity for easy access to the internet and 3 high speed USB ports.

So it is not a bad laptop after all, and especially at this very low price. It can be quite a good alternative for a netbook that is much smaller, and also who doesn’t have an optical drive and as good features as this one. With this one you will easily be able to handle the simple computer tasks (such as internet browsing, writing documents, emails, listening to music), and you will also be able to watch movies and even to play some video games. (not the best ones, or if you play an advanced video game, you will need to play it at low graphic details).

We can’t say for sure if Walmart still offers this model, but last year it was offered before Black Friday. So just be careful on the Black Friday 2010, maybe this laptop will be available again…or you will definitely find another similar, cheap and good offer in this day. Have a nice day, and be sure to tell us all about the really good laptop deal you just made!

You should write reviews for the 2 new Envy models released on the market: the Envy 14 and 17. I have seen their specs and the 17 makes an excellent desktop replacement. The price is a bit expensive as I recall but just as most laptop prices, this one will also become cheaper in time. They have the latest processors and technology to make applications run really fast and, to be honest, I was kinda waiting for them because it’s been a while since Hp has released something new and totally interesting on the market.
