Toshiba Laptop Reviews

These days you can see more and more people that are preferring to buy a new notebook (also known as laptop) instead of buying a new desktop computer. And we can definitely understand those people. Even though a laptop is a little more expensive than a PC, it is capable of doing the same tasks, only that it is much smaller, lighter and highly portable. You can use the PC just at your home or office, but you can use the laptop anywhere you want. You can take it with you while traveling and use it in the plane or in the hotel room, or you can take it in bed with you before going to sleep, or in the park, or at a picnic and so on.

Today there are many companies that are producing laptops , and some of the best names on the market are: Hewlett Packard, Acer, Asus, Dell, Toshiba, Sony, Lenovo, Fujitsu, MSI and Apple. Today we’ll focus on just one of these companies, and we’ll choose Toshiba. It is a huge multinational Japanese company that has the headquarters in Tokyo, and many more others subsidiaries all over the world. It was founded in 1939 by Hisashige Tanaka, Ichisuke Fujioka and Shoichi Miyoshi so it has quite a big experience and a good reputation. It offers to its customers all sorts of electronic devices, for example: computers, servers, notebooks, peripherals, digital products, electronic devices and components, social infrastructure and also home appliances. In 2009 Toshiba was the fifth largest producer of personal computers in the world and it had a revenue of more than 6,000 billions yens.

But for today we’ll focus just on the products that are interesting us – the laptops, and we’ll make a Toshiba laptop review. There are 5 different families of laptops in the offer of Toshiba, and these are: the Satellite, the Satellite Pro, Tecra, Qosmio, Portege and besides them a model of mini notebook. For today we’ll talk about a model of laptop from the Tecra family, and we’ll choose the Toshiba M10. The models from this series are offering a good performance with a thin and elegant design. They come with a display screen of 14.1 inch, which is combined with a good graphics engine – so this means that the video quality will be quite really good. This model is also compatible with a 12 cell  Lithium Ion battery pack, which will give you a much better life for the battery. So this means that you can take care of all your business and personal problems for a longer time, without needing to recharge the notebook. It also comes with a carrying case to make the transportation a little easier for you. Besides this it also has a integrated webcam and a microphone, meaning that you can always keep in touch with friends and family through a video conference.

There are three M 10 models, that are different from one another in terms of technical details. These models are: the M 10 – S 3454 (that costs 999 dollars), the M 10 – S 3451 (that has the same price) and the M 10 – S 3452 (that costs 1.249 dollars). So now let’s present the technical details for the most expensive of these models, which of course is also the best one.
-Processor – Intel ® Core ™ 2 Duo Processor P 8700
-operating system – Genuine Windows ® XP Professional (32 bit, SP3) with Recovery Media for Genuine Windows ® 7 Professional (this may depend on the store where you buy the laptop from)
- memory – 3 GB PC 2- 6400 DDR 2 800 MHz SD RAM
- Graphics engine – NVIDIA ®  Quadro ® NVS 150 M
- Hard drive – 320 GB HDD ( 7200 rpm)
-Optical drive – DVD-SuperMulti drive (+/-R double layer)
-  Other features –  Active Management Technology, Smart Card Reader,  Bluetooth®, USB Sleep-and-Charge,  eSATA USB Combo  Port, Fingerprint Reader

So here was just an example of a good notebook produced by Toshiba, but of course there are many more others. Even though most of the notebooks look the same, they are really different from one another in colors, but especially in technical details and features. So be careful before buying one and be sure to make a lot of research before choosing a model.

Toshiba laptops are awesome! I own a Toshiba Satellite and this baby is about 2 years old now. Never gave me one single headache. The only bad part is that the battery will not keep the unit on for more than 1 hours but that is my fault as I understand. I have to take out the battery from inside the unit while I keep it plugged in and I have failed to do so for the first 12 months of usage. it’s true that my laptop gets a little too hot sometimes but it’s ok considering that I never has any problems with it shutting down. I got the Toshiba Gold Service Pack when I bought my laptop which means I have 3 years warranty instead of 2 and this is great news. Love Toshiba and totally support people that wish to buy this laptop.
